We had Claire's 1st Birthday Party on Saturday, she had so much fun playing with all the kids and getting so much attention. Her dress had tulips on it so we did kind of a floral theme.
She loved eating the cake, eventually she started rubbing it in her eyes so we took her to the tub. Thank you everyone for all the neat gifts! Some of my family and friends traveled all the way from Colorado just for the weekend, thank you so much for traveling so far to celebrate with us.It rained a little while we were trying to eat, that wasn't fun. Everyone said that the rain made the day even more memorable! When Claire was getting ready to eat her cake, Alex put a microphone in her face and said "Speech, Speech!" It was so cute.
My cousin Renee painted a mural for Claire in her room, I will show this in a future posting.

What a wonderful day of celebration with so many loving friends and family. A day we will never forget. We are so grateful to have been there to share it and were so excited to have all three of the grandchildren there too!

Happy Birthday Miss Claire! Your Grandma tells me you were the life of the party and enjoyed your birthday to the fullest. I'm sure your Mom and Dad are amazed at how fast that year went!
