Blizzard of 2006

Here are some pictures of the blizzard that laid 26 inches of snow on the ground while we were in Colorado last week. It was the most snow I have ever seen, the kids had a blast and although we didn't have their snow boots, grocery sacks worked quite well.

Build-A-Bear Workshop

Heather (Claire's best friend) gave her a gift card to Build-A-Bear so we got to use it in Colorado with my niece and nephew. They had such a good time creating there animals (Katie a hockey cow, Alex a rabbit with leather, and Claire a bear), this was such a fun day. I highly recommend it! Claire's new bear is named Heather Lynn of course!

Goodbye My Best Friend

Dear Heather,
We are going to miss you so much. You are a sweet little girl with such a beautiful smile and the best laugh. You giggle all the time and it is such a wonderful sound. Claire wasn't the best at sharing her toys when you came over but she got excited whenever we mentioned your name. As soon as Claire was let out the door she would run to your house wondering what you were doing or to play in the sandbox. Claire and Heather will be best friends forever.

Jennifer you are an amazing neighbor and friend, I cherish every day we spent together running after our children. We had so much fun going to music classes, mall walks, days at the park, bread swaps, walking in the morning with the girls, going to playgroups, the state fair, Nebraska marching band, Lincoln Children's Museum and so much more to list. Your family is very dear to my heart!

Love,
Kellie and Claire

Reindeer

We have an elementary school behind our house and out the window we could see some reindeer. I had Heather and Claire so I bundled them up and ran outside to see them. The girls were very impressed and both got a candy cane (Claire tried to eat through the wrapper). It is not everyday you have reindeer out your back door. We were invited by the owners of the reindeer to get a photo at the Cornhusker Hotel.
Well this year Claire HATED Santa and wanted nothing to do the with Santa/Reindeer photo, she screamed, cried and shook...so I am in it as well. After the Santa tragedy I got some photos near the Christmas tree inside the hotel.

Better luck next year Santa!
