Today, Matt and I have been married for two years. Since we dated a while before that, it feels much longer, but even longer than that really. But in a good way...not in a "man, this has been dragging!" sort of way. We have been through so much in these years together, and I hope this makes us stronger and wiser.
Matt is the best. Such a short, simple word for how to describe it. There are others though - thoughtful, generous, smart, capable, kind, funny, handsome, sweet...every day he amazes me by adding another attribute to the list, and every day I thank God that he's in my life and agreed to be my husband. Beyond husband, Matt is so far, a great father. He's patient with Claire, loves to make her laugh, sings to her, and plays monster any chance he gets. I never doubted for a moment that Matt would be an amazing father, but to actually see them together fills my heart up in ways I never thought possible. Happy Anniversary Honey, you are the light of my life and I can't wait for what tomorrow brings!

Alliance, NE
For those of you that don't know, Matt is living in a camper in Alliance, NE still working for the railroad. He is going to be there a few months for his job so we have come to visit him and since Alliance is only 3 hours from my family we have spent a few days in Colorado. Claire is very attached to her dad and we both miss him a lot. We will be coming back for another visit hopefully next month. We did get to take a day and go to the Black Hills in South Dakota, Mount Rushmore was beautiful. I will share those photos when I get back to Lincoln and download them.
In the meantime here are some photos from Grandma's camera.

Labor Day Parade
Here are some misc. photos of Claire at Grandma and Grandpa Hein's house and her 1st Windsor Harvest Festival Parade. She waved her little flag so well during the parade and got some candy, thanks to her new friend Alex.

Nebraska State Fair
We took Heather and Claire to the Nebraska State Fair last week, they had so much fun especially at the petting zoo. They loved feeding the animals and they got to see baby chicks and a baby pig.

Busy
We have been really busy this summer, State Fair's, Children's Museum, Omaha Zoo, Taylor's 1st Birthday Party in Kansas, and Labor Day weekend in Colorado. I did not take the photos for most of these events but as soon as I get them I will share them with you. Claire is growing like a weed and busy as ever. We are learning body parts and blinking on command.
Claire and Heather have grown quite fond of each other. Here are photos from today after they played in the sprinkler and we got them to hold hands. They are sooo cute.
