Easter

We went to Colorado for Easter. We were still sick so my mom picked us up and Matt came and got us. Claire had a great time dying eggs and hunting them. Angie brought her new boyfriend Jeff and his daughter Cheyenne, she is in the picture with Ella. Aunt Missy and Uncle Tracy came over for dinner and Matt made it just in time to eat.

It's been a while...

I know I haven't posted much lately. We have all been traveling and sick. We went to Lincoln for Matt's friend's wedding and to visit his family. Some relatives had never met Ella before. I took Claire to the circus with her best friend Heather, they had fun except when we left the elephants they both cried.

Ella started rolling over about March 12th from her back to her tummy. She was rolling from tummy to back a few weeks before that. She is growing so fast, I can't believe she will be 6 months on April 1st. She is such a "Happy Girl" as Claire would say. Claire loves her more and more each day. We love watching them together.

So here are random photos...

February Post

So we have had a busy month, Ella turned 4 Months on the first and now weighs 13 lbs, 6 oz and is 25 1/2 inches long. She is developmentally right on track, she is rolling a lot and has rolled from her tummy to her back. She still loves her mobile and smiles all day long with an occasional laugh. Claire has said on numerous occasions that she is so glad we brought her home. Ella likes to stick her lip out and will sometimes do it on demand. If you stick your lip out at her, she will do it back....So Smart!

Claire is enjoying her dance/tap class so much. I think we will continue it after this class is over. She has met a new friend, her name is Tierra Allison. She is super cute. Her mom Kendra and I were instant friends as well.

Matt's cousin Renee set us up with some friends here and they have been very nice and helpful. We went to their house for dinner the other night. Claire had so much fun with the two boys. Ella enjoyed the Spider Man chair.

We also got to go to Colorado at the beginning of Feb for a friends wedding. Matt surprised me and came to Colorado too, I will post more on that later!

Happy Valentine's Day, Happy Birthday Aunt Becky!!!

Ella Update

Ella turned 3 months January 1st, she is finally sleeping more at night about 6-7 hours. What a relief, now we are all tying to catch up on sleep. She is smiling and babbling a lot, she is so sweet. She loves getting her diaper changed and watching her mobile. She also likes laying on her playmat hitting the toys. She HATES tummy time but we are working on it! She also loves to hear us sing!

Claire Update

Claire started Dance, Tap and Jazz class last weekend, she thinks it is the best thing in the whole world. She wears a skirt everyday over her clothes so I thought she would enjoy it.

I gave Claire her very first haircut the other day, she loved it. Now she asks if we can cut it everytime she gets out of the bath.

Happy New Year

We hope everyone had a happy New Year. Here are some photos we had taken of the girls and a family picture.

Memorable moment #4

Claire and Heather got to spend the day together after Christmas, they act like they have never been apart. They played so well together, doing each others hair, playing dress up and drinking hot cocoa. Then Claire needed a nap so sharing got tough.

Trick or Treat

For Halloween this ear we went to a so called pumpkin patch in Scottsbluff, really just a farmer's house where he grew some pumpkins- nothing like Vala's.

Next we carved the pumpkins and invited our neighbor over, his name is Cole and he is 13, him and Claire were instant friends.

Last but not least was trick or treating-Claire was a fairy princess. Brama and Papa Hein came up for the festivities. First we went downtown to the local businesses who handed out candy, she had fun except for the scary monsters. She loved going with Papa. Next my mom and I took her to the mall where they hand out candy. What a zoo that place was, my mom and I had more fun at Bath and Body Works. Overall she got lots of candy and managed to say "Trick or treat" twice, despite all the practice we had the week before.

Ella was going to be an angel, my mom found a dog costume- you might laugh but it was the only thing small enough for her to wear- too bad the costume malfunctioned. Better luck next year.

Well I think that is it, Happy Halloween!
