Claire's 1st Birthday Party

We had Claire's 1st Birthday Party on Saturday, she had so much fun playing with all the kids and getting so much attention. Her dress had tulips on it so we did kind of a floral theme. She loved eating the cake, eventually she started rubbing it in her eyes so we took her to the tub. Thank you everyone for all the neat gifts! Some of my family and friends traveled all the way from Colorado just for the weekend, thank you so much for traveling so far to celebrate with us.

It rained a little while we were trying to eat, that wasn't fun. Everyone said that the rain made the day even more memorable! When Claire was getting ready to eat her cake, Alex put a microphone in her face and said "Speech, Speech!" It was so cute.

My cousin Renee painted a mural for Claire in her room, I will show this in a future posting.

One....Happy Birthday Baby Claire

I am one today! Claire is 1 year today. I have so many things I want to say, Claire has been such a joy to our lives. She is the most outgoing, determined, ambitious little person I have ever met. She is has such beautiful eyes and a smile that melts your heart. This last couple of weeks she has stopped crawling completely and nods her head yes as well as getting two more teeth. Thank you everyone for all the cards that have been pouring in, we feel such love from all of you for our daughter.

This is from Claire's Grandma Hein (my Mom) and I thought I would share it with you.

Dear Baby Claire,

We can’t be with you today baby Claire, but are with you in our hearts. You have been on our minds all day. We are so grateful to God for sending you to us. You are such a bright, funny, happy and sweet little girl. You have had such a wonderful little personality from such an early age. You have always seemed to love us too! You seem to know how much we love you and how much we want to be with you. You are so happy and content and self assured in your safe little protected world with a Mommy and Daddy who love you more than life itself. You are blessed to have them and they are blessed to have you. We are blessed to have all three of you in our family and in our lives. I believe you will be a strong person like your parents. You will always be loving like you are now and will always have a thankful heart. You will have enough drive to accomplish whatever you desire with God’s help and will have a great impact on all those around you. Your life has been blessed from the moment you were conceived and I believe you will understand this and move through life with this wonderful knowledge bringing joy wherever you go and to whomever you touch. I look forward to watching you make your dreams come true and make all of us who love you – so proud. Happy Birthday Baby Claire. All our love goes out to you today as you turn one year old!

I love my Aunt's

Aunt Sarah came over to see us today and I remembered to grab the camera. Claire is such a people person, she loves everyone, especially her Aunt's! We will be heading to Colorado next month to see my parents, Aunt Missy and Aunt Angie will be flying in from Seattle. We can't wait to see them!

Claire is getting so much older and it seems like everyday when she wakes up she does something different, I could log every new thing but we would surely run of out of room on this blog.

Schools out for the summer

Well not that this really pertains to us, but it is June 1st and the elementary school let out today. Claire and Heather went swimming in the blow up pool, then went for a walk in the wagon - bikini's and all.

Let me see what else? Ryan (Matt's cousin) and Caitlin had a new baby girl on May 31st, her name is Vivian Rose and she weighed 8 lbs 4 oz. Can't wait to meet her.
